Arigatou is a growing group with a great staff that gets along well and gets stuff done, if you want to be a part of Arigatou and join our family of odd balls here are some things you need to know:
Encoders [OPEN]
If you want to encode you HAVE to have some experience with AVS scripts and x264. We are always willing to help if you got questions, but if you're coming in knowing nothing we can't walk you through the entire process, it wastes our time and leaves less time for working on projects. And when you apply have a sample encode ready that's around 5-10 minutes long, or if you encode for other groups give us a link to your most recent encodes.
Experience is a must!
Quality Checkers [CLOSED]
Quality Checkers have the task of going through Encodes and in some cases the subs to check for errors in the following areas:
[*]QC'ers are going to look at the encode for any kind of deficiency such as interlacing and any other kind of things we don't want to see in our encodes
[*]They will also check the subs for timing errors, misspelling, and they will also make sure it's readable to an average viewer.
Experience is a must!
Distro Servers
If you want to be a distro server in the Arigatou Channel you have to have at least 7 GB of Arigatou Encodes, (Complete series).
Fserve's [FULL]
A speed of 80 KB/s or more, 7 Days of serving in the channel with a minimum of 8 Hours a day. For further details on being a distro server speak to Kaugustino.
XDCC's
Min speed of 200KB/s and at least 20GB of free HDD space.
Typesetters [FULL]
Typesetters must be experienced and can either time karaoke, do AFX, or do both. Typesetters will do basic typesetting for certain encodes (Depending on the Encoder)
Arigatou is always looking for more staff to make our group one of the best out there and we strive ourselves on our quality. If you have any Questions on ANY position or to apply. Contact Kaugustino. Or Kevin on irc.
Thank's and Good luck!
