Changing the sub font

Is it possible to change the sub font? At the moment it looks even uglier than the yellow subs from the eighties (except they're white). Is there a way to use the settings I have in vobsub. The series I've downloaded are Death Note and Mushishi.

Deathnote and Mushishi use dvd vobsubs which are baiscaly the same as the dvds you would buy. Theres no way to change them easly. Someone else may be able to suggest a way to do it.
